What to expect during your service:

Every massage session is unique, but here’s a general overview of the steps involved:

Filling us in

When you arrive, you’ll fill out an intake form to indicate any medical history, injuries, or physical conditions your massage therapist should be aware of. (This step is important, so it’s best to arrive 15 minutes early to allow yourself enough time.)

Establishing your goals

Your massage therapist will go over your intake form with you and together you’ll discuss the goals you’re hoping to achieve with your massage. This will help them make personalized service and enhancement recommendations focused on delivering the results you need.

Getting ready

Your therapist will step out and give you time to disrobe (to your comfort level) and lie down on the massage table underneath a sheet and blanket. During your massage, your therapist will uncover only the area of your body they’re working on.

During your massage

You can talk with your therapist as much, or as little, as you wish – but you’re always free to provide feedback on their technique or any discomfort that you might be feeling. Breathe normally and try not to tighten or contract your muscles. And don’t worry if you fall asleep – it’s not uncommon, and is a sign that you’re wonderfully relaxed!

Wrapping things up

When your massage is complete, your therapist will wait outside while you dress. When you’re ready, they will offer you a glass of water and guide you to the front desk (it’s important to stay hydrated after your session). They may also offer recommendations for future services to continue your self-care journey.

Not sure whether a Relief Massage is exactly what you need?

It’s important to note that you’re never limited to the parameters of one particular concern. You might primarily need to have your therapist focus on easing tension in your neck, shoulders, and upper back, but also want to relax. Your therapist can always personalize your service with elements from multiple types to ensure that it’s focused on the results you want.
