Why did you decide to pursue a career in skin care?
I decided to persuade a career in skin care because I love educating and giving women the confidence that I didn’t used to have.

Describe your experience at esthetics school. What did you like about it?
I loved everything about my school. My educators were very hands on from teaching us everything in class to even pushing us to sell. I’m thankful for it today because it gave me true insight to what it was like working in the real world of esthetics.

What excites you most about working at a Massage Envy franchised location?
I love working for my clinic. My owner is very involved and loves skin care, so she’s always willing to listen to ideas to improve our location. I also love that as clients are coming into the clinic for massage, a simple conversation can get them to do duels with a massage and a facial. It makes it easy to build your books.

Please tell us how long you have been at a Massage Envy franchised location?
Almost two years.

What's your favorite skin care service and why?
I love microderm infusion. You can really rejuvenate someone’s skin, whether it’s a low acne grade client or someone with really dry skin, with just one machine. It also gives the client a good idea of what they should do next in their skin care routine just by looking at their waste jar.

What is the product training like with Massage Envy's skin care brand partners?
I love that you can teach yourself through MEU online, but also the classes our reps hold is what I really enjoy because I can hold on to certain words they may say and use it as a selling factor.

Please tell us about a day where you felt especially proud about the work that you do?
This just happened to me recently. It was definitely a highlight in my career. I had a client come in for the first time who had little to no mobility in her arms and legs. I was of course nervous about the session, but her aid reassured me if I needed anything she would be right down the hall. My main goal was to just make her as comfortable as possible just like any other client, and at the end of her session she thanked me personally for making her feel like a normal person. She said that most people didn’t take the time to talk to her about skin care because of her situation.

When are you happiest at work?
When a client walks away happy with a new skin care regimen.

What's the best part about living in Georgia? Tell us something about it that others living outside the state might not know.
The best part about living in Georgia is the number of things that are always accessible to do.

What advice would you give someone just starting their career in skin care?
Be confident in yourself. Once you have confidence nothing will hold you back from succeeding in anything you do.

What's the best part of what you do?
The best part is that I get to educate and bring a confidence to my clients that most can’t.

Why should someone consider working at a Massage Envy franchised location and building there career there?
I think it’s an amazing way to easily become comfortable with what you do especially coming right out of school. The clientele is there, you just have to go after it. The education is there, you just have to want to learn. The possibilities for growth are endless, you just have to reach for it.

What excites you about the next couple years of your career?
I am excited about the skin care changes that Massage Envy is making to be able to offer our clients.

What are your favorite hobbies and interests outside of work?
My favorite hobbies outside of work are working out/training in the gym. I love being active outside as well.
