"Stay invested in yourself. Taking care of yourself is so important when you’re in a job taking care of other people. Find what you love and actively do that. And always keep learning. Esthetics is always going at a fast pace and you can never learn too much."

When did you decide to pursue a career in skin care?
I have always been passionate about skin care even as a child, I was always getting in trouble for using fruit to make face masks! I think I was about 19 when I realized I wanted a career that gives back, helps others feel great about themselves, and that I’m super passionate about.

Describe your experience at skin care school. What did you like about it?
I really enjoyed skin care school! I’ve spent a lot of time in higher education and I loved that it was so focused on what I would be doing in a career. I could sit for hours and learn about the science behind our skin and how products work!

What excites you most about working at a Massage Envy franchised location in your city?
I love Knoxville! It’s so great to work in this city and be able to provide these services to our members and guests that they can receive on a consistent basis and at any franchised location even while they are traveling. It has totally opened the doors to skin care for so many people when they see a name they trust like Massage Envy!

Please tell us how long you have been at a Massage Envy franchised location?
Almost 5 years!

What's your favorite skin care service and why?
Microderm infusion! Not only are the results amazing and your skin feels SO hydrated, but two big words: waste jar!

What is the product training like with Massage Envy's skin care brand partners?
Super informative! Over the last few years the new product lines brought in have been wonderful about our education and helping with so many questions. I love how accessible they are to our franchised location and how they respond so quickly if needed!

Please tell us about a day where you felt especially proud about the work that you do?
Any day I get to help someone feels great. I love getting to know my clients and having a connection with them and also being able to help them put their best face forward at the same time! Specifically, any day I’ve made a difference in someone’s mental well-being is a a day I feel so proud. When they tell me, “this service has given me a reason to keep going this week” or “this is the only good thing I’ve got right now." I love getting to be something positive for them!

When are you happiest at work?
I work with a huge “family." My coworkers and I are so supportive of each other. I’m definitely happiest when we are all uplifting each other, setting goals and achieving them, and I love getting to just ramble on about skin care all day!

What's the best part about living in Tennessee? Tell us something about it that others living outside the state might not know.
If you’ve never been to Tennessee, book your flight now! I’m from a super small town so Knoxville is actually a lot bigger than where I’m from. But in all, Tennessee is so beautiful and peaceful with the mountains, hiking, etc. Plus, we’ve got good food and southern hospitality like you won’t find anywhere else! :)

What advice would you give someone just starting their career in skin care?

What's the best part of what you do?
All in all, short answer. People. We have such a wonder capability with our talents to help people.

Why should someone consider working at a Massage Envy franchised location and building there career there?
The support is amazing. It’s unlike something you’d find anywhere else. There is always education for us to be on our best game. The room for growth is awesome.

What excites you about the next couple years of your career?
Growth!! Massage Envy is growing so much especially in skin care and I’m so excited to see what’s coming next!

What are your favorite hobbies and interests outside of work?
Being with my daughter and other family and friends, camping, hiking, paddle boarding, concerts, attending church, reading, my three dogs. I’m always doing something!
