What to Expect: Acne Back Facial

Massage Envy’s 60-minute, Acne Back session utilizes Proactiv® products to address acne prone skin along with pore congestion and impurities on the back. Your highly qualified esthetician will guide you through the entire process so all you have to do is relax and enjoy your session. Here’s what you can expect.
MEET & GREET
When you arrive, you’ll fill out your personalized skin care form to indicate skin care needs, goals, and your history of previous sessions. This step is important, so it’s best to arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself enough time to focus on you.
LET’S GET TO KNOW YOU
You’ll meet with your esthetician to discuss your personalized skin care form and address your acne concerns like oily skin or clogged pores. To experience the full benefits of your Acne Back Facial, you’ll want to disrobe from the waist up. Your esthetician will step out of the room as you undress and lie on the table underneath the sheet and blanket.
REVIEW YOUR OPTIONS
Your esthetician will review the steps of your Acne Back Facial using the Proactiv product line and Massage Envy’s exclusive line of CyMe™ products.
YOUR SKIN CARE EXPERIENCE
Your Acne Back Facial session will begin with a gentle steam and full cleanse of the back, followed by a skin analysis, customized exfoliation mask, and extractions (if needed). Your session will conclude with a customized treatment mask and a finishing treatment to lock in results. This session may also include the use of a High Frequency Machine to help cleanse the skin of impurities, reduce redness, and help minimize the appearance of imperfections on the skin.
Steam/cleanse
Cleansing with steam helps to soften and prep the skin for the rest of the Acne Back Facial. It also removes oil, dirt, and debris from the surface of the skin.
Esthetician skin analysis
Your esthetician will analyze your skin to determine skin conditions, review concerns, and suggest the best plan for your Acne Back Facial.
Customized exfoliation mask
Each Acne Back Facial provides different levels of exfoliation depending on what your skin needs. Exfoliation plays a key part in helping skin stay healthy and a soft feel.
Extractions
Extractions are included with the Acne Back Facial and can help clear clogged or impacted pores. The session may include the use of a High Frequency Machine.
Customized treatment mask
The treatment mask helps to address a variety of skin concerns and can help the skin appear more soothed, brighter, and balanced.
Finishing treatment
This includes applying a treatment serum and moisturizer to leave your skin feeling protected when you leave.
WRAPPING UP
After your Acne Back Facial is complete, your esthetician will wait outside while you dress and gather your belongings. Once you’re all set, you can chat about home care product options to help prolong the effects of your Acne Back Facial.
